Val and his crew did a great job replacing the siding on our 1902 Victorian. They removed aluminum and original wood siding, added home wrap and insulation, and new wood siding in a custom color. All through the process Val was prompt and professional. He had a reasonable quote and clear contract for the work. All in all a pleasant experience. Definitely recommended.

VIS Exteriors was an absolute pleasure to work with. Even before having a signed contract he had already dedicated ample time working with us, and our insurance inspector. Val and his team were always on time and treated our home like it was their own. They replaced our Roof, Skylights, Gutters, and Downspouts. I consider myself tough to please, but I was very impressed with VIS throughout this whole process. Outside of the obvious high quality work, communication is very important to me. Val was by far the best communicating contractor I’ve ever worked with. He was clear about everything, and always responded very quickly. If I need any other services that VIS performs, it will be a no-brainer to use them again. A++++ experience.

Val and his crew are great! He provided a good estimate for the work to be done and was easy to work with. The roofing was done while we were out of town. Val (via phone consultation) alerted us to some bad boards in the roof that needed to be replaced. We trusted his judgement and now have nice clean plywood in our attic ceiling (no more mildew)! Our house has been beautifully transformed! Both the roofing crew and the siding crew kept the area clean and worked efficiently. The siding crew was very meticulous and did an amazing job getting all the details “just right”. We couldn’t be happier!

As a home inspector, I did my homework before deciding which company to use to change the look of my home and install new siding. After receiving bids from a number of companies and speaking to their owners, I chose VIS Exteriors. The owner, Val was very knowledgeable and had good ideas in how to replace our old stucco and T-111 siding with new LP vertical and horizonal siding. Val’s crew worked diligently and did a terrific job removing the old siding and installing the new siding according to the manufacturer’s specs. My wife and I had some special requests which Val personally helped to make happen. We are very pleased with their work, going above and beyond our expectations.

We had VIS install new LP siding, gutters, fascia, and soffits. Val was very responsive, setting the appointment quickly, showing up on time, and getting the quote back within 24 hours. Our house had a lot of trim work and the color/style needed to be matched to an addition that was previously done on our house, which required some extra work. We decided to go with VIS because Val’s knowledge and experience were evident during the meeting, they were also very fair compared to the other quotes we had received.

The entire process was great! The workers were on site promptly each day, cleaned up throughout, and left their tools/supplies tidy each evening. Val was on-site multiple times a day to check-in on the work and discuss anything that needed to be addressed. The finished product was amazing and the house looks brand new. They are not trying to rush through the job to move to the next one, they make sure they do it right.

After seeing our neighbor’s siding done by VIS Exteriors and reading so many great reviews, I called VIS and spoke to Val the owner, who came out the next day. Val was quick to provide a competitive bid to replace the siding on the upper level back of my house. Challenges included removing rotten siding that was never properly flashed and wrapping all areas with Tyvek where only felt had existed prior. Upon completion new siding was installed, properly flashed and a window also wrapped in aluminum. The completed job was immaculate. Once the materials arrived Val was able fit me in to his crew’s schedule in a matter of days. I am looking forward to working with VIS again.

I was lucky to find Val and his crew for my project. Couldn’t be happier with the whole work and craftsmanship they put into the project. My project involved a complete exterior overhaul – new roof , siding, facia, soffits, gutters, etc. Val listened to all my concerns and ideas and he recommended LP-smart siding which looks unbelievable and has a 50-year warranty.

The crew worked for 3 straight weeks. Attention to detail was incredible the whole time. They went above and beyond, and threw a few extra things that appeared on the way of reconstruction – for example there was another older wood siding underneath and they removed it at a little extra cost.

Highly recommend! Had siding blown off of exterior in a recent rainstorm. They came out same day, covered it (bc more rain in forecast) and then a few days later replaced damaged siding. Highly recommended! After a terrible rainstorm, siding was blown off our 2nd story exterior. They came out the same day, covered it (more rain was in the forecast) and returned a few days later to repair it. And with the CoronaVirus happening, they did everything by phone and text! We got three estimates for new gutters on our home and even though they all came in at similar price range after meeting Val and reading his reviews we decided to go with him hands down. The job was done in a day, they even solved a problem area we had at the front of house. Thank you Val we will see you in the Spring for another project your the best.

We experienced hail damage to our gutters and reach out to a number of companies. VIS was reasonably priced and timely in doing the work. On the day of install. Our installer noticed a couple pieces were damaged and told us he would swap them out for perfect pieces. We appreciated his attention to detail.

After a big rain storms all appears to be working great.

On August 22, 2017, VIS Exteriors completed the removal of old siding from my house and garage and replaced it with house wrap, insulation and vinyl siding on both structures. I am not easily impressed and rarely write reviews, but Val and his employees impressed me. The quality of their worked is superior! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! Working with Val and his crew was probably one of the best construction experiences we have done. Val took care of everything form insurance adjusters to permits and stuck to his estimate on the time frame. Val was able to make the repairs two weeks earlier than he estimated. His company completed the job quickly and professionally. There were a couple of items that needed a small amount of additional work but Val responded quickly and finished the work to my satisfaction. I might add that any time I needed to reach Val with questions he responded very quickly. I highly recommend Val and VIS Exteriors Corp! They do great work and stay in contact with you throughout the entire process.

I have only positive things to say about Val and VIS. They did our roof a few years ago, which survived the hailstorm/microburst of this past summer. They did our siding last month, which had been damaged by this storm. Val is really professional, communication is lightning fast, he never leaves you hanging. Their crew is also really professional, they get the job done right and done quickly. Our house looks great, and I would surely recommend VIS for a job well done.

I live in a rural area and all too often have to settle for contractors willing to work on my residence, what a breath of fresh air VIS and Val are. Not only did he agree to work in a rural area, but his team’s work quality and ethic is better that what I had seen when I lived in Chicago and the suburbs. The cost was very reasonable. VIS Exteriors put a new roof on my house. Val was great about coming out quickly to give an estimate. He took quite a few pictures of my old roof to show me what was wrong. And after I decided to go with his company, he and his crew came out quickly to do the work. I would definately use VIS Exteriors again.

The estimate and contract was spelled out and identified the scope of both the projects. This document was ease to understand. The execution of both projects was done with professionally skilled workers whom took the time safeguard our homes landscaping and foot traffic. The roof looks great! The cedar siding looks awesome. Our home has several architectural features which needed additional attention and skill on the installation. They made it look better than the original builders installation. Another excellent job done by VIS Exteriors. Three years ago we had siding and gutters replaced for our house and detached garage. I originally contacted Val at VIS Exterior Corp to provide an estimate to repair sections of fiber cement siding on our house. He responded the same day, came to the house the next day, and provided a reasonable estimate the following day. The work was completed in one day about a week later. The work was challenging as the crew only replaced sections of the overlapping siding, but they did a great job. A few weeks later, I contacted Val to provide an estimate to replace the undersized gutter system that was original to the house when it was built.

Same as before, Val was very responsive and provided a fair estimate. The work took longer than originally planned, which was understandable though given the larger size of the house. Again, the crew did a great job and the results were high quality. Many of our neighbors complimented the work. A portion of the exterior roof above the front porch began leaking during the first rainstorm after the gutter work was completed. Thinking maybe something happened during the gutter replacement work, I contacted Val that evening, and he came to the house first thing the next morning. Turns out the house did not have flashing in a certain area that contributed to years of eroding the plywood under the shingles in that roof section. Val personally repaired the roof a few days later at a reasonable cost. No more leaking. Val even corrected a couple minor areas on the new gutters that had slow drips at the corners by adding more sealant, etc.

To say that I am satisfied with the results of the various projects would be an understatement. Sure, there were some random nails found on the ground after the crew left, but the work was done well and the house looks great. I initially contacted Val to repair some siding, but in the meantime discovered a trusted resource who is responsive, communicates well, and someone that I can rely on to make things right, at a reasonable cost. Should I happen to need any additional professional support in the future related to siding, gutters, roofing, etc., the only person I need to contact is Val.

Rarely do I write reviews however I was so impressed today with Val, from VIS Exteriors that I believed it was important to share this information with others as well.

It is not often that you come across individuals with solid and upstanding morals and ethics in business. When you do, you like to reward that individual and/or company by sharing their information/story with others in the hopes that they and other people can benefit from doing business with each other.

Val arrived promptly for an estimate appointment and spent the time to review my concerns and understand my reasoning for the work. He was extremely honest and candid in discussing options, pricing, materials which were available. However, Val ended up making a “friendly recommendation” to me that would rectify the situation at a very modest cost even though it meant he would not get the job. He told me that is the direction he would go and quite honestly, that is the contractor that I respect and would want to hire for my jobs moving forward. Someone who gives you solid, reasonable and honest advice.

Val did not try to pull the wool over my eyes, he spoke plainly, was upfront about costs, timeframes & expectations and most importantly, did not treat me anything less than an intelligent human being for being a single woman which I greatly appreciate. There were no sale gimmicks, no fast sells, nothing like that.

I do hope that anyone reading my review – and all the rest of his perfect online reviews – strongly considers hiring Val for their next project. I know I sure will be today.
